New GMOs and detection methods entered


In the ongoing process of adding new GMOs, methods, authorisation data etc. into the database we recently added among others:

  • GMOs that are newly approved in non-EU countries. You will find for example the rice event Golden rice 2 that possesses enhanced provitamin A content in its grains (approved in Canada, Australia and New Zealand) and the canola event DHA that has an altered omega-3 oil content (approved in Australia, pending by the APHIS-USDA), e.g. Golden Rice 2

  • An event specific method for the detection of a production strain of Bacillus subtilis (isolate E871) QL-EVE-558F/558R
