Comment:

 Target is the endogenous alcohol dehydrogenase 1 (adh1) gene from Zea mays

ATTENTION: Following Broothaerts et al. (2008: J Agric Food Chem, 56:8825-8831) a common allelic single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) within the nucleotide sequence of adh1 of maize at position 839 relative to the translational start codon of the gene may hinder the efficient binding of the reverse primer Adh1 primer R. Therefore, quantification of genetically modified maize events on the basis of this method might be impaired.
