Detection Image Detection method details

Name:

QT-TAX-BN-012

Description:

Quantitative real-time PCR (TaqMan) method for detection of oilseed rape cruciferin A (CruA) gene (EU-RL GMFF GMOMETHODS database as of March 06, 2014).

Estimated number of target copies per haploid genome (Jacchia et al. 2018): 2

Comment:

Target is the endogenous cruciferin A (CruA) gene from Brassica napus. Target range extends to B. juncea, B. rapa and B. oleracea.

Please be aware that additionally a cross-reactivity/positive signal with mustard (Sinapis alba) has been noticed.

This assay is NOT recommended for GMO quantitative analysis because of a secondary target with mismatches in the primers and probe annealing region.

ring trial validation
