 Qualitative real-time PCR (TaqMan) method for detection of salmon event AquAdvantage (Soga et al., 2020)

Comment:

 Target is the 5' flanking region between the host Atlantic salmon genomic DNA and the promoter region of the anti freeze protein gene (AFP) from Zoarces americanus (Ocean pout). The probe was labeled with 6-carboxy-fluorescein (FAM) at the 3' end and black hole quencher 1 (BHQ1) was added at the 3' end.

The amplicon was deduced from Yaskowiak et al. (2006) Transgenic Res 15:465–480.
