Comment: This application is for pollen produced from maize MON810, as or in foods and food ingredients only. This authorisation expired. However, the scope of this application remains authorised in the EU, since an application on renewal of the authorisation was submitted in time (EFSA-GMO-RX-028).

Additionally, MON810 is authorised for (a) foods and food ingredients produced from MON-ØØ81Ø-6 maize, with the exception of pollen; (b) feed containing, consisting of or produced from MON-ØØ81Ø-6 maize; (c) MON-ØØ81Ø-6 maize in products containing it or consisting of it for any other use than food or feed, with the exception of cultivation according to decision Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2017/1207 of 4 July 2017.

Cultivation of MON810 is authorised in the EU based on the consent issued by the Competent Authority of France on 3 August 1998 and Commission Decision 98/294/EC. The geographic scope of this authorisation for cultivation of this GMO is restricted with Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/321.
