Comment: Application on renewal of existing food additives produced from this GMO and feed produced from this GMO. Food additives and feed produced from MON863 were lawfully placed on the EU market before the date of entry into force of Regulation (EC) No. 1829/2003. After the date of entry into force of this Regulation, these products were notified to the European Commission according to Art. 8(1)(b) and Art. 20(1)(b) of that Regulation. On 29 June 2015, the applicant asked the Commission to put a end to all the authorisations granted by the Commission to products containing, consisting of or produced from genetically modified maize MON863, as single event or in stacked events, following a commercial decision of the company not to market these products anymore in the EU.
